Aloha All!
We have some painting meetings here in Warsaw-you know sharing painting/modeling ideas, drinkin' booze, havin' fun and yes painting miniatures too Wink Last time we talked bout' some "special technics" useful for miniatures like creating blood effect, using maskol etc.. So here are some tutorials-hope you find it useful.

first "trickling blood"

What do you need to create trickling blood effect?: tamiya clear red paint, some glue based on resin (I have used UHU glue),some black/brown/blue paint

use some old cd/plasticard and put there all ingredients

mix all ingredients togheter using toothpick (don't waste your brush)

now you can apply this mixture on your minis (fangs of some monsters, swords, guts)

you may use some glossy varnish afterwards.  This particular metod is used for "trickling blood", if you want to use it as some blood staind just forget bout' the glue.

and now somethin' bout the scratches.

one of the method is to use maskol. What we need here? maskol, some paint used to create rust effect (like snakebite/or some pigments), blu tack, piece of sponge

)paint the whole area with rust color(here we used some rust from model master, but as I said before snakebite would be just fine)

)Dry painted area. Then using sponge take some maskol (wipe excess on the paper)

)using sponge mark some maskol on the area

)Dry it!!!

)paint the whole area with color that suppose to be corroded

)Dry It!!

)take some blu tack and use it like platen to wipe all the maskol

)and so you have it

applying decals

1. we`ll need decals, something to cut them, water Tongue, brush, micro sol, micro set

2. cut the decal and throw into the water. before it`s ready, apply micro set on the surface you want to apply decal to

3. apply the decal

4. brush it with micro set

5. dry the decal and push it into the surface using fe. piece of paper

6. brush micro sol

7. dry the decal and push it into the surface

8. why we do all this? I`ll use an example. Often decals do not set nicely, especially on more tricky surfaces like SM shoulder pads:

9. apllied micro sol

10. dried teh decal and lightly pushed it into the surface

11. looks better, doesn`t it Wink ?

Hello, I show present you tutorial "How to make a damaged wall in an easy way " which was already posted in a polish section. Enjoy  Smiley
Step 1
First we take to hands  a piece of plasticard. Than we must decide where to cut it to give it a look of an old, damaged wall.

Step 2
In another step we make holes, scratches etc. with use of scisors or x-acto knife to give damaged look..

Step 3
We glue “damaged” plasticard on new sheet

Step 4
Now let’s cut a bit newly glued plasticard leaving some free space on edges to sculpt there bricks in a later stage.

Step 5
Prepare your favorite sculpting mass. It can be Magic Sculpt, Milliput, Green Stuff etc.

Step 6
Fill surfaces with sculpting mass and sculpt bricks. In the final stage take x-acto knife or drills and make some holes after bullets.
That’s all. Nice and easy way to make damaged walls.
